What is the best glass coating for your windshield? In this video, I revisit one of my all-time favorite automotive glass coatings: Soft99 Ultra Glaco!
This legendary Japanese glass coating was originally inspired by technology developed for airplanes facing harsh monsoon conditions. The performance impressed the government so much that Soft99 later developed a consumer version for automotive use, helping drivers improve visibility and safety during rainy weather.
Soft99 Ultra Glaco creates an ultra-hydrophobic barrier on glass surfaces, causing water to bead up and fly off the windshield while driving. According to Soft99, the coating is resistant to windshield wipers, dust, oil, detergents, and repeated car washes, with durability lasting up to 1 year!

Application Process:
Thoroughly clean the glass surface
Polish the glass using Soft99 Roll-On Compound to remove grime, traffic film, mineral deposits, old sealants, and stubborn contamination
Rinse thoroughly and dry the glass
Apply Soft99 Ultra Glaco evenly using the built-in felt applicator
Allow the coating to dry for 5–10 minutes
Wipe off residue using a damp microfiber towel
Keep the glass dry for 12 hours for maximum durability
If you drive frequently in rainy conditions, this may be one of the best upgrades you can make for both driving comfort and safety.
