How durable is an 8-year ceramic coating in the REAL WORLD on daily driven vehicles exposed to harsh Canadian winters, road salt, brake dust, contamination, neglect, and minimal maintenance?
Today I’m giving you a true long-term durability update on the CLEAN By Pan 8-Year Ceramic Coating installed on three different daily drivers:
✅ 2021 Subaru Forester (coating applied in May 2025)
✅ 2020 Mazda CX-5 (coating applied in June 2025)
✅ 2025 Audi Q3 (coating applied in October 2025)
These vehicles live in Montreal, Canada, where they face brutal winters, snow, road salt, UV rays, brake dust, traffic film, contamination, and inconsistent washing routines.
Before testing the coating performance, I performed a full decontamination wash using:
✔️ CLEAN Decon Shampoo
✔️ CLEAN Demineralizing Shampoo
✔️ CLEAN Iron Remover
✔️ CLEAN Clay Towel
No fresh toppers or boosters were added specifically for this test, so what you’ll see is the coating performance after months of real-world use and maintenance.
Then we evaluate the most important signs of ceramic coating health and durability:
💧 Tight water beading
💧 Fast water sheeting
💧 Hydrophobic performance on vertical and horizontal panels
💧 Gloss and surface behavior
💧 Signs of degradation or failure
This is one of the most realistic ceramic coating durability tests I’ve ever filmed because these are real family daily drivers — not pampered garage queens.
