►Here is my video review of The Last Coat version 2.0 (TLC2): https://youtu.be/nQRX1KlY0uM
Black Ice is for exterior surfaces only.
Features:
Compared to TLC2, Black Ice:
– Lasts longer as it has a durability of 12 to 18 months
– Feels slicker
– Is more hydrophobic
– Has more UV protection
– Has better self cleaning properties meaning that the car is easier to wash
– Only 1 oz. of product needed for an average-sized car
Directions:
Step One: Wash your vehicle.
Step Two: Decontaminate the paint surface with an iron remover and claybar.
Step Three: (if paint requires it, if not move on to step four). Polish/paint correct the paint surface to remove swirls, defects and bring the surface to a high gloss.
Step Four: Wipe down the vehicle with 70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) on a microfiber.
Step Five: Using the microfiber applicator provided, spray 2-5 sprays of BLACK ICE directly onto the applicator and then wipe on to painted surfaces in a cross hatch pattern. You then take a CLEAN microfiber towel to buff off BLACK ICE to an extremely high gloss, slick finish. Full removal is very important. Discard towels/applicator after use.
Step Six: 2-3 layers are recommended. If layering, you want to do this the same day as the first application, within an hour of each layer.
IMPORTANT: Wait 24 hours before exposing the vehicle to water or the elements and a full 7 days before washing, exposure to harsh chemicals, and before applying any toppers like TLC2 or AMP.
After 7 days, TLC2 and/or AMP can be used as a drying aid or to remove bird droppings, finger prints, or to remove light dust. TLC2 will also add layers of protection on top of BLACK ICE and help preserve and rebuild it as well.
Optimal temperature range for application is above 40F (5C) and below 90F (32C).
Black Ice can be applied on top of TLC2. It is not recommended to apply Black Ice on top of waxes or regular paint sealants.
